Susan Young Susan Young returned to Houston, and Island Dreams Travel, in the Spring of 2004 after having lived and worked as a dive instructor on Grand Cayman for just shy of 15 years. In addition to her most recent dive trip to Fiji, Susan's personal diving adventures have ranged from her Texas "back yard" location of the Flower Gardens, Stetson Bank and the offshore oil platforms, to Cozumel, St. Lucia, Tobago, Aruba, Bonaire and a fabulous adventure to Truk Lagoon. While living on Grand Cayman, Susan earned her U.S. Coast Guard 100-ton Master's License, and loves boats almost as much as she loves diving. Engage her in a conversation about diesel engines or recommendations on scuba gear (she did all the purchasing for her employer, Red Sail Sports, the last four years on Cayman) and Susan is in her element. Her decision to leave Cayman was due in part to the new man in her life .... her new grandson, Evan, who has since been joined by his younger brother, Dylan and sister Molly. When not helping you plan your next dive holiday, Susan in the kitchen, or practicing Sun Salutations, her favorite yoga asana, or riding the train at the zoo with the grand kids!
Island Dreams' Mascots - Pumpkin and Bailey As we own our own offices, we are fortunate to be able to bring our pets to work. Ken is the proud dad of Pumpkin, a ten year old yellow Lab. Though she weighs in at 98 pounds, Pumpkin has such a sweet disposition that even the Fedex and USPS delivery folks are glad to see her. Bailey, Pumpkin's rival for all the attention around here, belongs to Tina. A three year old Golden Retriever, Bailey is also very friendly and playful. Watching these two dogs romp together, or cadge dog biscuits from our next door neighbor John, helps us all to maintain our calm and peace of mind throughout the day. But please remind Bailey that she is not allowed on the sofa!
