By now you've heard all the stories about Hurricane Wilma. Fortunately, Fiesta Americana stood up to mean old Wilma better than most. Thus we are pleased to report that Fiesta Americana Cozumel Dive Resort has just completed a renovation, with USD $50 million dollars invested to make this fine property even better than ever. This hotel reopened on March 15, 2006, with 224 guest rooms. Restoration work has been completed on all public spaces, restaurants, pool, rooms, suites, and gardens.
The Tropical Forest Restaurant has changed its architectural design to allow its guests to enjoy gastronomic delicacies presented in convenient buffet service. Guests will also enjoy a brand new Beach Bar and the Reef Restaurant with new Mediterranean-style decore and furnishings.
The swimming pool area, and the appealing poolside bar, have been completely updated. The adjoining restaurant has been expanded and all new pool furniture is ready to make you comfortable as you relax with a pina colada in hand.
Fiesta Americana Cozumel Dive Resort is located only a few minutes away from Palancar Reef, Cozumelīs most famous dive site. That's why Dive House, one of Cozumel's best scuba operators, is in house at the hotel. Fiesta Americana's beach zone has been expanded for greater enjoyment, the dock is completely new, and Dive House's facilities have been improved to provide better service and comfort to divers and snorkelers.
In addition to the oceanview rooms, Fiesta Americana Cozumel Dive Resort offers 56 Ecological Cottages nestled in a romantic tropical jungle setting. These rooms have also been remodeled with completely new decore and fixtures. Housed in clusters of four suites in a jungle area apart from the main hotel building, these Tropical Casitas feature a king or two double beds, hardwood armoire, security safe, mini-bar, marble vanity, over-sized shower and soaking tub, and a step-down living area with small sofa and TV. Each Tropical Casita Suite has either a private balcony or a terrace with jungle views.
