Yap Divers is also completely new, with improved storage for 72 divers, NITROX, newly reconditioned boats, and a special "camera hotel" (6 stations for battery charging (220/110), camera storage, and maintenance right in the dive center). Manta Visions Photo Center offers visiting divers "Digital Stations" where they can download their photos, burn CD's, and use PhotoShop.

YAP ISLAND - If you are looking for a place to enjoy some of the finest diving in the world and a place where few other tourists have visited, then Yap was made for you. Continental Airlines' 737 jets serve Yap regularly from Guam and Palau. A stop in Yap is generally free of airfare charges when you are on your way to or from Palau. There are currently 4 flights a week: Wednesday the itinerary is Guam, Yap, Palau, Manila, Palau, Yap and back to Guam. On Thursday and Saturday nights the itinerary is Guam, Palau, Yap, Palau and back to Guam (arriving Friday and Sunday mornings). All of our flights now connect better with the U.S. mainland, Japan, Hong Kong, Manila and other parts of Micronesia. To most people, a dive trip to Micronesia is considered to be a "once in a lifetime trip". The diving is that spectacular but with modern jet service; Micronesia is much closer than one normally thinks.

MANTA RAY BAY HOTEL - Manta Ray Bay Hotel and Yap Divers (Yap's only PADI Gold Palm Resort) are dedicated to providing the international diving community an opportunity to enjoy world class diving in world-class comfort. From the moment you step off the plane, their friendly staff will be there to greet and assist you. Most rooms have two queen size beds per room with the exception of two rooms which have a single queen size bed and one room which has a single king size bed. The Deluxe Ocean View Room has one king-size bed. A two-room suite may be created by opening adjoining doors in the Deluxe Ocean View Room. The suite includes two full bathrooms, one king size bed and two queen size beds, two balconies and two TV/VCRs. The Deluxe Ocean View room has a private spiral staircase leading to an exclusive rooftop Jacuzzi and sun deck plus a special amenity package.

All rooms are air-conditioned and have a ceiling fan, refrigerator, color TV, VCR, satellite TV, international direct dial telephone, private bathroom with hot water and built-in hair dryer, as well as a private balcony for the Ocean View rooms. In addition, we have installed a sophisticated and highly efficient water purification system, resulting in fully potable in-room tap water (the only hotel on Yap with this feature). Each room was completely remodeled in 2000 with the guests' comfort foremost in mind. Truly works of art, the rooms are decorated in tropical elegance including tiled floors throughout the hotel. Furniture is natural rattan with a tropical pastel fabric, and pots of exotic tropical plants can be found everywhere. The motif of the entire hotel is marine life. Each room bears a fish name, and is decorated accordingly, with photographs and paintings of that fish, right down to the hand carved key chain. Each room has unique hand made bedspreads and shower curtains depicting the motif for that particular room. The double doors connecting the rooms of the suite are adorned with carvings of manta rays.

YAP DIVERS - Yap Divers is Yap's only PADI 5-Star Dive Facility. You can be assured of clean, pure air and safe diving, plus a full range of instruction available to you from Open Water through Assistant Instructor. The dive shop, dock and training center are located right on the hotel premises. Secure dive lockers eliminate the need for carrying wet and heavy gear bags between dives. A fleet of five dive boats provides the flexibility to insure that guests' unique diving desires are met. All boats maintain radio contact with each other and to the hotel/dive shop. First aid kits, lights and oxygen are also on the boats at all times. In addition to a number of specialty dive certifications, Yap Divers also offers Yap's only Nitrox, Nitrox certifications and we Yap's only licensed repair center for Mares, ScubaPro, Oceanic, US Divers and Poseidon regulators. They feature Mares and Oceanic equipment in our rental gear. This gear is new and of the highest quality available in Micronesia. The bottom line is that Yap Diver's goal is safety and satisfaction for every customer, every day, every dive.
