Wide Variety of Cruise Options - M/V Atlantis Azores will move its operations throughout the year to capitalize on the best diving, during the best weather conditions. A variety of prime Philippines dive destinations are featured:
Tubbataha in the Sulu Sea - Tubbataha Reef is acknowledged to offer the best coral reef and large animal diving in the Philippines. Tubbataha Reef is located in the Sulu Sea, at the center of the Coral Triangle between Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. Rarely visited by tourists due to it's location and it's status as a marine preserve, Tubbataha is made up of two reefs, simply referred to as the North and South Reefs. The North and South Reef both enclose a sandy lagoon. Tubbataha is home to no less than 573 species of fish, 373 species of corals, 11 species of sharks, 12 species of dolphins and whales, nestling hawksbill and green sea turtle. Tubbataha cruises depart from Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines.
Bohol and the Visayas - The Visayas are one of the three island groups in the Philippines. This itinerary features the diving around Bohol, Tagbilaran, and famed Apo Island. Short, easy cruises each evening will take you from one great dive site to another. Unique shore excursions are also included. Bohol cruises depart from Puerto Galera, home of Atlantis Resort Puerto Galera.
Anilao, Apo Reef and the Wrecks of Coron - Atlantis Azores latest exciting itinerary is to the sunken World War II Wrecks of Coron Bay via Apo Reef. A typical charter may start with a day exploring the macro life of Anilao (home to over 300 species of Nudibranch) or on the world famous Verde Island Drop Off, then it's off to Apo Reef - referred to by many a mini Tubbataha - for one of two days you will spend exploring the 34 miles long reef system. After that, the diving will concentrate on Coron Bay, where 24 Japanese ships were sunk in Coronon September 24, 9144 by the US Navy; you will have an opportunity to dive the best of these during our time there taking in both the unique history of the area and the amazing amount of fish and coral life that now covers the wrecks.
These cruise depart from Atlantis Resort Puerto Galera.
Malapascua-Cebu Safari - Highlights include Sumilon Island, Pescador Island
& Malapascua's Gato Island, home of a sea crate protected breeding sanctuary. Then on to another Malapascua favorite
Monad Shoal known for frequent sightings of thresher sharks as well as manta rays. In addition to these pelagic
species, the Malapascua area offers a wide variety of critter diving not to mention abundant reefs and wall diving.
Leaving Malapascua, the itinerary moves to Capitancillo with its three virtually untouched wall and cavern dives.
Next to Bohol for a wide variety of reef, wall & critter diving as well as some land tour opportunities
for those so inclined. The itinerary finishes on the dramatic walls of Bailicasag.
