Crystal Blue Resort
Crystal Blue Dive Resort -- For the past few years we have been actively searching for a better quality dive resort option in Anilao. There is very good muck/critter diving in Anilao, but thus far the lodgings have been substandard. Now we've come upon a new opportunity, Crystal Blue Resort, that shows real potential. In a tropical, oceanside setting, Crystal Blue Resort finally offers a finer quality of lodging perfectly placed to experience Anilao's excellent scuba diving and underwater photography opportunities. Located on a prime land at Bagalangit Bay, Anilao (Batangas, Philippines), this low-rise resort embraces beautiful architecture and designed to blend with the local landscape and culture. Providing quality without formality, guests enjoy open-air dining and oceanfront living. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and beverages service are available in all rooms and public areas. Menu items include seafood, Continental, Oriental and Filipino Cuisine. At day's end, a nice Jacuzzi provides relaxation and refreshment as you prepare for the next day's diving adventure. See what one recent guest had to say...
"The night dive at Anilao's "Town Pier" with Crystal Blue Resort should be mandatory. We were all breathless with fabulous finds our group of four made: blue-ringed octopus, mimic octopus, two more octopi, squid, bobtail squid, warty yellow frogfish, crabs, ornate ghost pipefish, two cuttlefish mating, translucent snail, eight little pipefish all encircling each other, waspfish, tiny black frogfish, baby cuttlefish, a fire urchin, and so many other critters we couldn't even identify! The Crystal Blue Resort was beautiful and offered topnotch guides, fantastic food, very comfortable rooms with super A/C, and a perfect ending to a perfect trip. Thank you, Ken, for being the perfectionist you are and expecting and receiving the best!"

"I've just returned from one of my best dive trips ever, spending time in both Anilao and Puerto Galera. At Puerto Galera I stayed at El Galleon Resort which I booked through Island Dreams. Then I participated in a photo workshop in Anilao hosted by Crystal Blue Resort, which is what this email is all about. I've been to Anilao before and the first time I stayed at (a well known lodging) which to me was a dump with good dive guides. Well this time around Crystal Blue Resort had it all. My room had two double beds, AC, a modern bathroom and a balcony overlooking the sea. The food was served buffet-style, and included two to three choices for every lunch and dinner.
Since I was at a photo workshop they had their camera room pushed to the limits but still had enough room to support about 24 photographers. As far as the diving goes at Crystal Blue they had six dive boats (they chartered extra boats and guides for the workshop). There was a ratio of four divers per boat although my dive boat mostly had only three divers. The guide I had was excellent and from what others said they were very pleased with theirs as well. I would go back to Crystal Blue in a heartbeat - nice place, good staff, good food, nice room and great Anilao diving."
