With a delightful architectural style that blends together tropical hard woods, colorful Mexican tile, brick and stone, the hotel is a jewel from the "Old Playa". The owners, Jolanda from Switzerland and Larry from the United States, look forward to welcoming you and to making your stay a memorable experience. Scuba divers will be glad to learn that Jolanda also owns and operates Yucatek Divers which adjoins the hotel. Yucatek Divers is the Riviera Maya's premier dive center and training facility.
The 15 rooms are bright, airy, and unusually spacious, designed with 10-foot high ceilings and large arched windows and doors. Each room has a private bath, security box, refrigerator, fans, and two double beds. Rooms with A/C and cable television are also available. A terrace area outside each room facing the garden is furnished with table and chairs and is the perfect place to relax. The master suite is ideal for small families or groups. Amenities include a separate fully equipped kitchen, dining area with table, large bathroom, king and single sized beds, sitting area with a sofa that converts to a double bed, cable TV and A/C.
The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Playa, only a short two-block stroll, (approximately 100 meters) to the white sandy beach and blue Caribbean water. The bus station, post office, park, library, Red Cross, and banks, are all within two blocks of the hotel. Internet café, laundry service, hair stylist, convenience shop, and several local eateries are located only a few steps from the hotel entrance. Just one block away is Quinta Avenida or the Pedestrian Walkway. This is the main tourist artery of Playa where a myriad of specialty shops and boutiques, and dozens of excellent bars and restaurants offering every type of cuisine imaginable, may be enjoyed.
