Tour Details, Schedules and Pricing
SEAL Expedition Details - The Sardine Run is an adventure scuba diving and sea safari expedition which takes place off the Eastern Cape coast of South Africa, in the June & July. Sardine Run location is predominantly out of Port St Johns, though we work a huge territory of water both north and south of there - dependant on the action. Each expedition is led by a dedicated full-time SEAL Team guide with a mandate to create the best possible experience for all SEAL guests.
Ocean Adventurer 2 - The Ocean Adventurer 2 is an 82 foot twin-hull catamaran capable of comfortably sleeping and accommodating 8 dive guests + crew. OA2 is powered by 2 x 267 Hp John Deere diesels – easily cruising at 15 knots with a top speed of 21 knots – incredible range, fuel economy and speed – exactly what is required for the ultimate Sardine Run diving platform. For extra diving mobility on the ocean OA2 also has 2 x 5.5m diving tenders onboard. This combination of diving platforms, power and efficiency has never been available on the Sardine Run before now. The Sardine Run range of operation onboard Ocean Adventurer 2 is upward of 400 nautical miles – and spans the entire coastline south of East London and north of Port Edward to Durban, and beyond if required – the entire area over which Sardine Run action has traditionally happened.
Ocean Adventurer 2 Accommodations - Onboard accommodation is provided through four cabins of either double or single bed configuration. OA2 has two heads including WC, shower, sink, and a steady supply of pressurized hot water. There are three cabins with either 2 x single beds or 1 x double-bed; and one cabin with 2 x single beds in bunk-bed layout. There is ample deck space, a charging station for electronic equipment, and a large LCD display unit for watching footage of the days diving and events, photographic slideshows, movies etc.
Liveaboard Cruise Duration - Eight (8) nights lodging onboard the Ocean Adventurer 2 with full board, seven (7) days on the water (weather dependent), offering the best possibility of success. This time period will allow for bad weather scenarios and variable degrees of marine activity.
2014 Liveaboard Pricing - $ 5995 USD per person, based on twin share. Single Supplement surcharge of $500 on accommodations.
