Explore Wakatobi, Indonesia

September 4 - 20, 2004 Join Island Dreams' Ken Knezick on an ultimate scuba diving adventure…
from $3695.00 including airfare from LAX
Wakatobi Resort is on the Tukang Besi archipelago, in southeastern Sulawesi, Indonesia, at the fringe of "civilization." But this remoteness is what makes for pristine diving. None other than Jacques Cousteau declared the Tukang Besi Islands to be "probably the finest diving site in the world." Even less prone to hyperbole, the well-traveled editor of Undercurrent Magazine, John Q. Trigger, named Wakatobi "the epicenter of marine biodiversity."
Island Dreams' lucky group participants agree, "At last a place that lives up to its claim! A diving location to suit the most ardent diver. Wakatobi is unlimited diving at its best. If you look hard enough you can find just about everything you desire. Awe inspiring reef life so pristine that it is hard to envision. I felt honored to be one of the first to dive this wonderland." David Hosley, Tampa, FL. So, why don't you come see, and dive, Wakatobi for yourself?

Island Dreams' 2004 group will mark trip-leader Ken Knezick's eighth expedition to Wakatobi Resort. The Wakatobi folks tell us that Ken has made more visits to Wakatobi than any other guest, so you will be traveling with the bonafide expert!
It's also worthy of mention that this trip employs the great new air charter service from Bali direct to the resort. This excellent (and valuable) service is included in the pricing indicated above.
Saturday, Sept. 4 -- From Los Angeles or San Francisco (there is also an NYC option), fly excellent Singapore Airlines direct to Bali via Singapore. Departing USA in the afternoon, this option arrives Bali Monday evening and allows one overnight at Alam Kul Kul Resort in beautiful Bali.
Tuesday, Sept. 7 -- Enjoy the new charter air service from Bali directly to Wakatobi Resort. You'll be doing a check out dive that afternoon, right after your lunch at the resort.
September 7 - 17, 2004 -- Ten (10) nights at Wakatobi Resort
The following 10 days in Paradise will make all the traveling worthwhile, as you enjoy 11 nights at Wakatobi Resort. Your package includes the air transfer forward from Bali, lodging, tax, all meals, two boat or three dives per day, and unlimited shore diving. Wakatobi's house reef is the best in the world!
Friday, Sept. 17 -- Return flight from Wakatobi back to Bali, arriving mid to late afternoon. If you are on Singapore Airlines, in some cases you may connect straight out for home that same evening, or better yet, stay on to enjoy additional optional nights in beautiful Bali or exotic Ubud.
Sept. 17-19 -- If on Continental Airlines, spend two nights enjoying the beauty of Bali and/or Ubub. Your flight departs at 10:00 p.m. on the night of Sept. 19, and arrives back in the USA early morning on September 20.
The highlights of diving Wakatobi are the incredibly diverse and colorful reefs with their vast range of marine life, and the opportunity for one to experience truly pristine dive spots. Wakatobi Resort's house reef and unlimited shore diving are nothing short of superb. We expect it to stay that way, for the owners of Wakatobi Resort take a strong environmental preservation stance, and the entire Tukang Besi regions is now officially a National Marine Reserve. As for unlimited diving, on each of Ken Knezick's previous visit, he logged 44 or more dives during each stay!

Looking for YOUR next great adventure? Thus far, only a handful of lucky scuba divers, have visited Tukang Besi and Wakatobi. If this sounds like your kind of diving experience, contact Ken at Island Dreams now to learn how you can be among the special few to experience this marine life wonderland. ken@islandream.com
